Important distinction: This is the privacy policy for the Maryland Health One website (mdhealthone.com). It describes how we handle information you provide through this website and our online forms. It is not our HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices, which governs how we use and disclose your protected health information (PHI) as a healthcare provider. By submitting our appointment request form, you consent to receive communications from Maryland Health One by phone, email, and text message at the contact information you provide, for the purpose of scheduling and confirming your appointment. These communications may be sent using automated technology.

You should know:

  • Consent is not a condition of receiving treatment. You can always call us directly at (410) 528-1182 to schedule without submitting the form.
  • You can revoke consent at any time by replying STOP to any text message, by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, or by calling our office. We will honor your request promptly and within 10 business days at most.
  • Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
  • Message frequency is limited to communications related to your appointment request. We do not send ongoing marketing text campaigns.

5. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share it for targeted advertising purposes.

6. Data Retention

We retain the personal information you submit through our forms for as long as needed to fulfill your appointment request, maintain our patient scheduling records, and comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Contact information for visitors who do not become patients is retained for no longer than 24 months, after which it is deleted from our systems.

Google Analytics data is retained according to our GA4 configuration (currently set to 14 months) and is not linked to your form submission data.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the personal information we collect through this website. These measures include encrypted data transmission (TLS/SSL), access controls, and secure service provider agreements. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Privacy Rights

8a. All visitors

Regardless of where you live, you may:

  • Request to know what personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your personal information
  • Opt out of text messages (reply STOP), emails (click unsubscribe), or phone calls (tell us or call our office)

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 12 below. We will respond within 30 days.

8b. Maryland residents

The Maryland Online Data Privacy Act (MODPA), effective October 1, 2025, with enforcement beginning April 1, 2026, provides Maryland residents with additional rights regarding their personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of personal data, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, and profiling. We do not sell personal data, do not engage in targeted advertising, and do not profile visitors to this website. If you are a Maryland resident and wish to exercise any MODPA right, contact us using the information in Section 12.

8c. California residents

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) may provide you with additional rights regarding your personal information. We do not sell personal information. For requests, contact us using the information in Section 12.

9. Children's Privacy

This website is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information through our form, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
